Why agents

One agent, one job, measurable value

Copilot Studio is Microsoft's platform for building custom AI agents — grounded in your own documents and systems, connected through governed connectors, and deployable inside Teams, SharePoint or public-facing channels.

Traveia designs and builds these agents for Malaysian organisations: a policy assistant that answers from the HR manual, a correspondence agent that finds the right precedent letter, a tender-desk agent that extracts data from bid documents. Each one is scoped to a single job with a measurable saving.

  • Custom agent design & conversation flow
  • Grounding in SharePoint, Dataverse & line-of-business data
  • Connector & Power Automate flow integration
  • Generative answers with source citation
  • Security trimming & access governance
  • Deployment to Teams, web and SharePoint

Agent patterns

Where agents earn their keep

01

Knowledge agents

SharePoint-grounded Q&A over policies, SOPs and manuals — with answers cited back to the source document and trimmed to each user's permissions.

02

Service agents

IT and HR service-desk assistants that answer routine requests, collect structured details and route cases into your existing ticketing workflow.

03

Data-grounded agents

Agents connected to Dataverse, SQL and dashboards so leaders can ask questions in plain language and get contextual answers from live data.

Our process

How we build a Copilot Studio agent

Discovery

Identify the specific questions, requests or documents the agent must handle, and which systems hold that data.

Data grounding

Connect the agent to SharePoint, Dataverse or line-of-business systems with permission-aware retrieval.

Conversation design

Build topics, generative answers and Power Automate actions that match how your team actually asks questions.

Security & governance

Apply security trimming so answers respect existing document and system permissions, and document the agent's usage policy.

Deployment & adoption

Publish to Teams, SharePoint or web, then support rollout with usage monitoring and refinement.

FAQ

Copilot Studio — common questions

What is the difference between Microsoft 365 Copilot and a Copilot Studio agent?

Microsoft 365 Copilot works across your mailbox and files out of the box. A Copilot Studio agent is purpose-built for one job — answering policy questions, retrieving contract documents, triaging service requests — and is grounded only in the sources you choose, with its own conversation design and security rules.

Can an agent respect our existing document permissions?

Yes. Agents can be configured so answers are drawn only from content each user is already authorised to see, which is essential for government and enterprise deployments where documents carry different classification levels.

Where can a Copilot Studio agent be deployed?

Most clients deploy to Microsoft Teams or an embedded chat on their SharePoint intranet. Agents can also be published to websites and connected into Microsoft 365 Copilot.

How long does it take to build an agent?

A single-purpose knowledge agent grounded in an existing SharePoint library is typically a matter of weeks, not months. Timelines grow with the number of connected systems and the amount of conversation design and testing required. Contact us for a scoped estimate.
